Having said that, I use my ultrabook a lot too. Still on my iPad 1, and use it loads for Remote Desktop back to main PC, I find Splashtop remote is the best - works superbly well. I'm a tinkering pc dood at heart, I do dislike the idea of a computer I can't get inside, but then I've seen that a single purpose device like a kindle can work bloody well. What's the tablet + keyboard like for Remote desktop to a pc, anyone tried that? I've not owned a tablet yet, so kind of don't see what the fuss is about, but do like the idea of better web/pdf consumption over the lappy. Wyse PocketCloud does wokr with 3G, Wi-Fi and Android 1.5 or later. Users should note that it does not work with Windows Home Versions. There is a free reduced feature version and a 14.99 paid version. Soo, if you could have one or the other, would you replace the laptop with a nice new ultrabook so I can actually carry it around, or just keep the shit old dell and get a tablet. Wyse PocketCloud for Android, a remote desktop app for accessing files, desktop and apps is now available in the Android Market. Does splashtop use wyse pocketcloud pdf#Kinda does ok if you fit to screen and read pdf in landscape but it's not ideal. Love the kindle, but it's no good for consuming web obviously, and a lot of the stuff I'm doing atm involves reading pdf docs which the kindle is bad at. The dells got no battery left at all, so stays plugged in next to my chair and is used for nowt but Remote Desktop back to my real PC out in the den. Want a new toy.Ĭurrently I'm using a shit old dell lappy and a kindle. I've got a bit of cash burning a whole in my wallet.
